This is a 18 x 24" commission of a galah pair. For those of you who can't tell, the male is on the right, the female on the left.
The lighting on the photograph is a bit funny, but a big improvement over my cell photographs I used to take. Yay for new cameras!

The feathers were just the owner's preference, she wanted the male to be more alert and curious, and the female more puffy and content Females have reddish-brown eyes though, whereas males have blackish-brown.
I see! Well you executed her preference perfectly then. Thanks for telling me about the eyes I saw that too but wasn't sure if it was how the light entered the eye in whatever inspiration you were given to draw them. It is so neat you can sex them like that!
