Drawing eyes seems to be extremely popular here on Deviantart lately, so I figured I'd give it a shot, since it can't hurt. Working on improving skin texture and color so that I can start doing more portraits, as that's my biggest problem with them.
This took a couple hours, done in colored pencil on recycled paper. Roughly 5" x 5".
Critique very appreciated!

Sorry for the late critique, I've been busy with schoolwork and many other things and haven't gotten around to writing anything lately, so here we go!
Vision: This is really beautiful! And this is your first human eye?! I can see emotion already and it takes quite awhile to master that. The colors are pretty spot on. The .5 that didn't happen for me was the roughness of the skin and shading but I mean, I can understand that
Originality: I hate this critique-reviewing. Originality is only in certain pieces where no work was replicated in any way and something was created within it, specifically designed to catch the eye. Now this piece certainly caught my eye, because this is what I've been waiting for! So... to get to the point, not so much as originality but, in your case, quality.
Technique: You never fail to amaze me with how well you know what to do with your pictures and how you're going to do it even before you start. The shading is a bit rough here and there (as mentioned earlier), but that kind of thing happens no matter what your age and you can't really control it. What's done is done.
Impact: Impact is ultimately what makes someone want to see your art in the near future, again and again and again. And I'm telling you, I'm not going!!! You are very talented and cannot wait for your next upload (hopefully of another facial body part or even a face).
